the common cold (emphasis on common)

this may just be the words of a sick, delirious person, but as i was lying in bed, unable to sleep,
i thought to myself: my oh my, makensy, colds & stuffy noses are a lot like ......love.
you see, when you don't look out for yourself the way you should, or someone lies to you and tells you they're not sick when they really are, or youre just being careless about who you spend your time with.....you get sick/your heart breaks.
...'germs'/'unhappiness' begin to accumulate and congest your head, and you get delirious.
...makes it difficult to eat, sleep and breathe, and
...it keeps you from fully doing the things you want to do like going out and kigginit.

..but also
if you're laying on your back in bed, awake, because your nose is stuffy
and you cant fall asleep because you think you'll suffocate and die......
i find that when you roll over on your side... one of your nostrils will open. and you will be able to breathe again. even if just slightly. it may not be exactly the same as when you're not sick, but God makes a way for you to keep pushing on/breathing. it is but merely a bump in the road. the common cold.

you blow your nose and eventually it will drain out and clear up. it may not be over night, but before you know it, you'll be back to the old you.

it's funny how people will take their health for granted..drinkin after whoever, thinking they're the exception, that they can't catch the bug.....that is, until they get sick. that sickness that changes their life. the sickness that makes them be extra careful about who they share their drinks with...if they're even still down to try sharing drinks anymore..because you know, sometimes it bes like that.

but remember! we all know that after a cold, your immune system only gets stronger!

(i wonder if anyone noticed this parallel before.....)

just when you feel there's no hope..no getting better..death is creeping up on you...
one door/nostril opens. and *siiiigh* you can breathe.
